Drafting Tables Today

Today, with the development of computers, Computer Aided Design (CAD) is the more preferred drafting tool of the modern architect or engineer. Most engineering and architecture universities provide training on CAD drafting. CAD drafting offers more convenience for drafting in the sense that you won't need any pens or rulers. All you need is the CAD software and a computer capable of running it, then you're ready to do your drafting. Some people, however, still prefer to use drafting tables than computers in their drafting work. An advantage of using drafting tables is that you don't need a computer and a printer to see a hard copy of your output. This eliminates the problem of computer error, viruses, and the cost needed not only to buy the computer but as well as to purchase a printer capable of printing large sized plans / blueprints.
